Cota 1000 Șuior is one of the most popular tourist areas in Maramureș, located at the foothills of the Mogoșa Massif.
Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters, this place offers an ideal combination of fresh air and modern facilities for tourists.
The area is especially known for its mountain scenery, with access provided by a chairlift from the Șuior resort. In winter, it becomes a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts, while in summer it is perfect for hiking, mountain biking, downhill, and relaxation in nature.
At Cota 1000, there is also a tourist complex featuring a restaurant, a small amusement park, accommodation, and a panoramic terrace overlooking a lake, from where visitors can enjoy beautiful views of the Gutâi Mountains.

The chairlift operates every hour, on the hour, with the first ascent at 8:00 AM and the last one at 8:00 PM
